"Nancy McCurrach continues to be a trusted and engaged presence in the Port Coquitlam community, guided by a deep commitment to service and connection. Since being elected to City Council in 2018, she has approached her role with a long-term perspective, focused on strengthening community well-being while listening thoughtfully to the people she serves.
Nancy is widely known for leading with compassion and care. She values open dialogue and takes the time to understand diverse perspectives, believing that meaningful progress begins with listening. Her dedication to mental health awareness and bullying prevention has been a consistent and deeply personal focus throughout her years of community involvement, reflecting both empathy and action.
Over many years, Nancy has worked closely with local organizations and individuals to create lasting, positive impact. She has led and supported initiatives and fundraising efforts for numerous local non-profit organizations, including the Amanda Todd Legacy Society. Through continued engagement and initiatives such as #Caring4Others, she has advanced important conversations—encouraging others to stand up against bullying behaviors and supporting efforts to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Beyond her work on Council, Nancy’s leadership and fundraising efforts through her professional and volunteer roles have benefited many organizations across the Tri-Cities. Her dedication has been recognized through several awards, reflecting a reputation as a leader and role model who inspires trust, collaboration, and generosity.
Alongside her civic and community work, Nancy is a proud grandparent, mother, and wife—roles that continue to shape her values and reinforce her belief in caring, connected communities. With a steady and thoughtful approach, her ongoing contributions reflect a genuine commitment to helping Port Coquitlam grow stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient for the years ahead. I wish her success in her run for re-election in the upcoming October 2026 Port Coquitlam election."

"It is with great pleasure that I again add my name to those endorsing Nancy McCurrach for re-election to the Port Coquitlam City Council. Nancy is the type of leader communities need, she takes the time to get to know her community and advocates for her constituency. Port Coquitlam is fortunate to have such a dedicated counselor.
I had the privilege of working alongside Nancy at TELUS and can attest that she leads with passion and commitment in any role she takes on, but especially when advocating for her community.
In 2021 Nancy received the rare TELUS Legend Award, which speaks volumes about the commitment she gives to any community she is part of. Nancy also recently won the Frances Wagner Woman of Achievement Award which speaks to her lifelong dedication to service. Port Coquitlam would be lucky to have her continue to represent our community on council."

“It is with great pleasure and confidence that I support Nancy McCurrach as a candidate for Port Coquitlam City Council.
Over the years, I have known Nancy as a dedicated City Councillor & Community volunteer. She has consistently supported Festival Du Bois representing the City of Port Coquitlam as the Council Designate for Arts, Culture and Heritage.
She never shies away from hard work and is deeply committed to serving her community. She is an honest and forthright person—qualities that are essential in public office.
We have shared many conversations about the arts and cultural landscape in our region. As someone who has worked for over 30 years as an Executive and Artistic Director of a not-for-profit organization,
I have seen the importance of strong community leadership. As a resident of Port Coquitlam for the past 21 years, I am proud of how our city has evolved into a vibrant and exciting place to live.
I believe Nancy has played an important role in supporting that vision through her leadership, integrity, and commitment to the community.
I am pleased to support
Nancy McCurrach.”

"It’s vital that we vote for our values, so I place my support behind Councillor Nancy McCurrach for re-election to Port Coquitlam Council this fall. Nancy is an effective advocate who commits her time and support for healthy community and watershed environment for the residents of Port Coquitlam.
She devotes a significant amount of time and effort in this area, especially in working with the Coquitlam River Watershed Society to help advance projects and outreach in the lower Coquitlam River watershed that will improve watershed health for the community, fish, wildlife and natural environment.
Councillor McCurrach was instrumental in helping the Society launch the first community-built demonstration Rain Garden, along with supporting partners and volunteers in Lions Park during fall 2021. This rain garden and wall mural and signage continues to attract park visitors, and artists-in-residence were a focal point for leading youth outreach and art programs. Nancy regularly participates in rain garden maintenance, native planting programs, and promoting pollinator-friendly spaces.
She led the charge to implement the City Port Coquitlam’s Rain Barrel Program, promoting sales in conjunction with annual Earth Day and Public Works events. Councillor McCurrach has served as a Municipal Sector Representative on the Society’s Core Committee for Port Coquitlam since 2022 and was appointed to the Society Board to serve for as a director for the City of Port Coquitlam in 2024. Nancy brings energy and enthusiasm to the organization and effective advice to the Board.
Nancy is approachable, very community-engaged and genuinely committed to governing well. I am pleased to endorse Councillor Nancy McCurrach for re-election to Port Coquitlam Council. In full support,
